The Holy Quran is the central and most important source of Islam. It is the final revelation from Allah Almighty, sent to guide all of humanity. For Muslims, it is not just a religious book, but a complete code of life that provides guidance in every aspect of human existence.

The Divine Revelation

The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ over a period of 23 years through the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel). It contains the exact words of Allah without any change or alteration. This makes it the most authentic and preserved source of Islamic teachings. Unlike any other book, the Quran has remained unchanged since its revelation, proving its divine origin and authenticity.

Foundation of Islamic Beliefs

Islam is built upon the teachings of the Quran. It explains the core beliefs of a Muslim, such as:

• Belief in One Allah (Tawheed)
• Belief in Angels
• Belief in Prophets
• Belief in Divine Books
• Belief in the Day of Judgment

All these fundamental beliefs are clearly described in the Quran, making it the foundation of Islamic faith.

Guidance for Daily Life

The Quran is not limited to spiritual matters only. It provides complete guidance for daily life, including:

• How to worship Allah
• How to treat parents, neighbors, and society
• Rules of honesty, justice, and kindness
• Laws of trade, marriage, and social conduct

This shows that Islam is a complete way of life, and the Quran is its main guide.

Source of Law in Islam

Islamic law (Shariah) is primarily derived from the Quran. It sets clear principles for what is halal (permissible) and haram (forbidden). Islamic scholars use the Quran as the first and highest source when deriving rulings for any matter. This is why no Islamic ruling can go against the teachings of the Quran.

A Book of Mercy and Guidance

The Quran is described as a mercy for mankind. It guides people from darkness to light, from ignorance to knowledge, and from confusion to clarity. It helps believers stay on the right path and avoid mistakes in life. Allah has made the Quran easy to understand for those who seek guidance sincerely.

Preservation of the Quran

One of the greatest miracles of the Quran is its preservation. For more than 1400 years, it has remained unchanged. Millions of Muslims around the world memorize it word by word, ensuring its protection generation after generation. This divine preservation confirms that it is truly the major source of Islam.
